City National Bank has long played a vital role in Southern California communities, fostering positive changes that strengthen our community and the people who live here.

 

For Kure It’s first Gala in 2012, City National Bank was the first corporate sponsor to come forward to help Kure It bring this annual celebration to life.  Their generous donations have furthered our efforts to continue funding underfunded cancer research.  We believe cancer can be cured, and City National Bank is helping to make that possible.

 

This year, Kure It is proud to honor City National Bank as the recipient of our 2019 Kaprielian Cup.  The Kaprielian Cup is Kure It’s most highly-regarded annual award. It was created by the Kaprielian family when Doug’s wife Barb lost her life to breast cancer in 2014.  As Doug explains, “After I lost my wife, and my son and daughter lost their mother, we all felt we needed to do something to highlight those special individuals and businesses who support cancer research.” 

“We know that everyone is touched by cancer in some way,” explains Samantha Davies, Senior Vice President of Marketing at City National Bank.  “Cancer is one of the worst words anyone can hear.  Knowing that City National Bank is playing even a small role in helping to find cures is humbling and rewarding.  We are honored to be on this journey with Kure It.”.
